Sixth week (27-11-23 to 01-12-23)
I am thrilled to share my experiences from the sixth week of my B.Ed training. It was a week filled with unexpected surprises and significant events that left a lasting impact on my journey as an educator.
One of the most nerve-wracking yet enlightening experiences of the week was the unannounced observation by my college mentor, Jijan Sir. His unexpected presence in the classroom added an element of excitement and tension, but it also provided me with a valuable opportunity to showcase my teaching skills and receive constructive feedback for professional growth.
The highlight of the week was undoubtedly the exhilarating news of our school winning the overall championship trophy at the District School Kalolsav. The sense of pride and excitement that reverberated throughout the school was truly heartwarming, and it served as a reminder of the collective efforts and talents of our students and staff.
I had the opportunity to conduct a sociometry activity in the 9 D class, asking students to identify the most reliable person in the class. The activity not only fostered a sense of community and trust among students but also provided valuable insights into their perceptions and interpersonal dynamics.
Another enriching experience during the week was attending a class arranged by B.Ed trainees from another college. Titled "Peace of Mind Initiative," the session focused on child rights and mental health awareness. The class provided a thought-provoking perspective on the holistic well-being of students and reinforced the significance of addressing mental health in educational settings.
