Teaching Practice Phase 1 Weekly Report- 5

 Fifth week 5 (20-11-23- 24-11-23)

I am excited to share my experiences from the fifth week of my B.Ed training at Govt. HSS School, Kalanjoor. Although I had to take a leave this week due to personal reasons, it was an eventful period with some significant highlights.

During my class, my peers had the opportunity to observe my class. I am looking forward to their valuable feedback and insights, which will undoubtedly contribute to my professional growth as an educator.

Upon my return, I conducted a remedial class focusing on punctuation marks based on the results of a diagnostic test. The session aimed to address the specific needs of students and reinforce their understanding of punctuation rules. It was rewarding to see the students actively engaging in the session and making progress in this area.

One of the most fulfilling experiences during the week was the opportunity to take a class on nutrition and healthy eating habits as part of health education. The session aimed to raise awareness about the importance of balanced nutrition and instill healthy eating habits among students. It was gratifying to see the students actively participating in discussions and displaying enthusiasm for embracing a healthier lifestyle.

Punctuation pocket

Punctuation is a crucial aspect of writing that can significantly impact the clarity and effectiveness of communication. I took a class on punctuation marks following the Direct Instruction Model of teaching on 22nd November 2023. The class was also my remedial class as I found the students suffer a lot in this topic. To enhance students understanding and. application of punctuation rule, the punctuation pocket was given as a group activity.
Each groups were asked to punctuate the sentences provide to them correctly. After punctuating the sentences, they have to place the sentences in the correct pocket. The group which makes maximum correct answers in less time wins the activity.

Teaching Practice Phase 1 Weekly Report - 4

Fourth week (13-11-23 to 17-11-23)

I am thrilled to share my experiences from the fourth week of my B.Ed training. The week, from November 13 to November 17, was a period filled with diverse activities and events, making it a truly enriching experience.

The week was abuzz with preparations for the upcoming Kalolsav (school arts festival). Students and teachers alike were deeply engrossed in fine-tuning their performances and presentations for the event. It was inspiring to witness the dedication and enthusiasm displayed by the participants as they honed their skills in various art forms.

On November 15th, the school organized a special assembly in celebration of Children's Day. The event was marked by a joyous and vibrant atmosphere as the students were treated to a range of engaging activities and performances. It was heartwarming to see the school community come together to honor and cherish the spirit of childhood.

As part of the school's commitment to holistic education, an anti-drug awareness class was conducted during the week. The session aimed to educate students about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a healthy and drug-free lifestyle. It was gratifying to witness the students actively engaging in discussions and gaining valuable insights on this crucial topic.

The school observed a "dry day" during the week, emphasizing the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment. This was accompanied by a collective effort to clean the classrooms and school surroundings. The spirit of teamwork and responsibility displayed by the students during this activity was truly commendable.

One of the most exciting experiences during the week was the opportunity to serve food to the students during the lunch break. This hands-on involvement allowed me to interact with the students in a different capacity, fostering a deeper connection with them outside of the classroom. It was a heartening experience to see the students enjoying their meals and engaging in lively conversations.

Teaching Practice Phase 1 Weekly Report-3

Third week (08-11-23- 10-11-23)

I am thrilled to share my experiences from the third week of my B.Ed training. The week, from November 8 to November 10, was a period of rejoining the school after a break, conducting diagnostic tests, and embarking on a new chapter with my students.
After a brief break, rejoining the school brought a sense of renewed energy and excitement. It took some time to readjust and get back into the rhythm of the school routine. However, the warm welcome from both the students and the faculty made the transition back into school life much smoother.

One of the significant highlights of the week was commencing a new chapter with my class. Introducing fresh topics and concepts to the students was an invigorating experience. It allowed me to witness their eagerness to learn and their curiosity about the new material. Planning and delivering engaging lessons for this new chapter was a fulfilling challenge that allowed me to explore different teaching strategies and methods.

Conducting diagnostic tests for the students provided valuable insights into their existing knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. It was an enlightening experience to observe the diverse levels of comprehension among the students. The diagnostic tests not only helped in gauging their current academic standing but also provided me with a deeper understanding of their individual learning needs. This experience emphasized the importance of personalized learning and catering to the unique requirements of each student.
