Teaching Practice Phase 1 Weekly Report- 2

Second week (25-09-23- 30-09-23)

The second week of the teaching practice session began on 25/09/23 to 30/09/2023. This was a more confident week because I understood the nature and behaviour of my class students to an extent. But there was a little bit of tension. Even though I managed to do everything well. The week was filled with diverse activities and responsibilities, providing me with valuable insights into the multifaceted role of an educator.

One of the highlights of the week was being involved in the Kalolsavam practice duties. It was inspiring to witness the students' dedication and enthusiasm as they prepared for the cultural fest. I had the opportunity to support and guide the students, which allowed me to understand the significance of extracurricular activities in shaping a holistic educational experience.

Another significant event during the week was the Pravarthi Parichayamela, where I actively participated in organizing and coordinating the event. It was a great learning experience in event management and provided me with an understanding of the effort that goes into creating a successful school event.

During the morning assembly, I was thrilled to witness the appreciation of the winners of the P A Paniker Foundation state-level quiz. It was heartening to see the students being recognized for their achievements, and it reinforced the importance of acknowledging and celebrating academic accomplishments.

Furthermore, the "Suchithva Prethinja" initiative aimed at maintaining cleanliness in the school surroundings was a commendable effort. I actively participated in the campaign, emphasizing the significance of environmental responsibility and community engagement. Taking attendance for some classes was an enriching experience as it allowed me to interact with students on an individual level and understand the importance of classroom management and administrative responsibilities.

Teaching Practice Phase 1 Weekly Report- 1

 First week (18-09-2023 to 23-09-2023)

As part of the first phase of internship, teaching practice begun on 18/09/2023. I opted Govt VHSS, Kalanjoor and was assigned to take portions for class 9 D. I have a period each day and it is a very new experience for me to interact and teach a beautiful group of students. The headmaster and teachers are very supportive and encouraging.

During the first week of my B.Ed training at the school, I had the opportunity to engage in various activities and interactions with students and peers. I participated in classes with my peers, organized games and activities to build rapport, and had informal interactions with the class assigned to me. I  managed substitution periods.  Students  created posters related to Ozone Day. The school also held an SPC parade, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and creativity. Furthermore, a special assembly was conducted to raise awareness about Nipah, emphasizing the importance of health and safety in the community. These experiences were insightful and enriching, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of the teaching environment. While the week was rewarding, managing substitution periods and ensuring effective engagement during informal interactions were challenging aspects that I aim to improve upon in the coming weeks. Overall, the first week of my B.Ed training was filled with valuable experiences, and I look forward to implementing the lessons learned and continuing to grow as an educator in the upcoming weeks.
