Teaching Practice Phase II- Weekly Report 7

 Week 7 (22/07/24- 24/07/24)

During this week of teaching practice, I engaged with class 9 D across three significant days. On the 29th day, I began exploring the chapter "Success" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, focusing on themes of perseverance and ambition. While I successfully used visual aids to enhance comprehension, I noted the need for more interactive strategies to maintain student engagement throughout the session. The following day, I continued with the same class, further delving into the theme of success through interactive discussions and personal reflections, fostering a more inclusive classroom atmosphere. This informal interaction proved invaluable in building rapport and encouraging students to actively participate. On the last day of my teaching practice, I divided my time between teaching about affixes in one period and participating in a heartfelt thanksgiving session in another. The affixes lesson highlighted the importance of differentiated instruction, while the informal session underscored the significance of building relationships and fostering a supportive learning environment. Additionally, participating in an evening meeting with teachers provided an opportunity for reflection and gratitude, emphasizing the collaborative efforts and support within the school community. Moving forward, I am committed to refining my instructional strategies and continuing to foster a positive impact on students' educational journeys.

We are approaching the final stretch of our teaching practice phase II, this past week from 15/07/24 to 19/07/24 has been both engaging and fulfilling. I delved into the chapter 'The Toilet' with my students, emphasizing the themes of social discrimination and racism through interactive sessions. In line with my project goals, I introduced mindfulness activities aimed at boosting self-confidence among the students, fostering a positive classroom atmosphere. Additionally, I conducted an achievement test to assess their understanding and progress. Ensuring the overall well-being of students and teachers, there was a medical check-up session, prioritizing their health alongside their academic development. These experiences have been transformative, reinforcing my commitment to holistic education and equipping me with invaluable insights as I prepare to conclude this phase of my journey as a B.Ed trainee.

Teaching Practice Phase II - Weekly Report 5

 Week 5 - (08/07/24 - 12/07/24)

This week has been another fulfilling and enriching experience in my journey as a student teacher. Engaging actively in my classes every day has allowed me to deepen my connection with the students and refine my teaching strategies further.                                                                                                                 A notable event this week was the program conducted by the Ashraya team as part of the anti-drug campaign. This initiative provided a valuable opportunity to address important societal issues with my students in a meaningful way. In addition to regular class activities, I also conducted a pre-test for the project that I am developing as part of the B.Ed curriculum

Teaching Practice Phase II - Weekly Report 4

     Week 4 (01/07/24 - 05/04/24)

This week marked a significant step forward in my journey as a student teacher. It was both engaging and productive, filled with diverse experiences that contributed to my growth and learning.                           Throughout the week, I actively engaged my students with various chapters every day. This hands-on approach allowed me to gauge their understanding, adapt my teaching methods, and foster meaningful discussions in the classroom.                                                                                                                         One of the highlights of this week was conducting a diagnostic test for my class. This assessment provided valuable insights into the strengths and areas needing improvement for each student. However, the week also brought a new challenge: our college supervisor visited to observe our class. While initially nerve-wracking, this experience turned out to be a valuable opportunity for feedback and professional development. The feedback received will undoubtedly help me refine my teaching strategies and enhance my classroom management skills moving forward.

The rest of the days I engaged in the classes enthusiastically.
